The West Coast’s Most Iconic Duo Reunited.
Thirty years ago Hip Hop was changed forever. Snoop and Tupac released their iconic single “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted”. To commemorate the legacy of this iconic duo, Cali By Snoop is getting an exclusive release, with a label that is the first ever to feature Tupac’s likeness and backed by a heartfelt tribute from Snoop himself. T&DA had the privilege of illustrating the label behind this cultural moment, to design something that would allow Snoop to pay tribute to his brother, collaborator and friend.
Our design process was spearheaded with hand-drawn sketches, to trial and refine the labels art style, and supported with AI, allowing us to experiment with the likeness of the duo, before landing on a final label design. We even tested training a LoRA on Snoop’s handwriting, which opened up a new avenue where we could shape a handwritten version of his tribute to resemble Tupac himself. Thank you to Treasury Wine Estate and their in-house agency Splash for the opportunity to work on this project, which was overseen by our resident artist Simon Cowell, and approved by Snoop himself.
With this exclusive release, fans around the world are invited to Pour A Little Out. It’s more than a bottle; it’s a tribute to a friendship that defined a genre.
