Snoop Dogg as a smooth saxophonist? Making the impossible possible is what we do, and in collaboration with Treasury Wine Estates & 19 Crimes we did just that. Far from the typical “anything goes” AI videos, we needed to create a sober, believable, consistent and recognisable piece.

We started with generating a true to life version of Snoop, relying on in-house custom LoRa’s, for face and outfit. Starting from stills using Flux, we then manually finessed each details such as the glasses or saxophone to get consistency in Invoke.

Once each shot was just right, we used various image to video models depending on the shot. We also generated “stock” videos of smoke matching the tone and speed, all then upscaled in Topaz. Relying on AI generation alone would not have been efficient.

We added substantial compositing effects and smoke layers as well as colour finish to finalise the spot. We also used other comp tricks, such as rendering the head separately at full resolution first to get maximum likeness. For sound, we used finevoice to “Snoopify” an actor’s delivery. The saxophone tune was generated using a musician.
