T&DA Creates Interactive Experience For The Return Of BTS

BTS is back! And to herald the debut of their comeback album, Arirang, they’re inviting their fans on a scavenger hunt across Spotify. The mission: recover the fragments of a Chosun-inspired wax cylinder to unlock exclusive messages and lyrics from the group.

T&DA and Alt collaborated with Spotify to bring this interactive fan experience to life, ensuring that the visuals matched the hype. We meticulously crafted seven unique wax disks, each representing individual members of BTS with custom engravings, an authentic and tactile wax look and a colour palette that stayed true to Arirang

To house this experience, we engineered a bespoke wax cylinder player. Every aspect of the device was modeled, rigged, and to feel mechanically authentic, as if it truly possessed the power to spin these secret messages into sound. We also ensured that the look of the device matched the aesthetic of Arirang while remaining consistent with Spotify

To top the experience off, atmospheric cutscenes accentuate the fans journey through experience, accentuating milestones and building up hype in the leadup to the albums release.
